If you run a business, cyber threats are scary.
ISSUE
Cyberthreats are ever present for organizations of every size, and the teams that mange cybersecurity are often overwhelmed, making it difficult for them to be strategic and get ahead of the problem. To reinforce its position as a global cybersecurity leader with a modern solution, Trend Micro needed to increase brand awareness and communicate a unique, positive message aligned with its values and capabilities.
INSPIRATION
There are a lot of cybersecurity solutions out there and our research showed that most of those solutions we’re marketed by way of fear, uncertainty, and doubt. In order to show the audience how Trend Micro could free them to go further in their roles we chose to position cyber threats as an opportunity—even something beautiful.
IMPLEMENTATION
We asked a handful of the world’s best data visualization artists and designers to interpret real cyber threat data, and to express it in the form of artwork—and the results we’re amazing. Each artist used a different data set geared towards a specific audience persona.
The artwork was used as the visual basis in a global paid media campaign. We also designed and built a pop-up gallery at the RSA conference in San Francisco, and supported it with printed coffee table book for attendees of the conference.
